What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Your browser’s local storage works in a similar way. They let the site remember settings and let analytics services tell new visits from returning ones.
Essential
Always on: without them the site cannot remember your choice. They contain no personal data.
| Name | Stored in | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie-consent | localStorage, this site | Remembers what you chose in the banner: “Allow all” or “Essentials only” | 12 months |
Analytics — only with consent
| Name | Service | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current visit | 2 years |
Advertising — only with consent
| Name | Service | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Links a visit to a click on our ad so we can measure its results | 90 days |
Google may also use cookies on its own domains, as described in how Google uses cookies.
Before you choose
Until you click “Allow all”, no analytics or advertising cookies are set: Google tags run in Consent Mode and may send only cookieless, aggregated signals. If you choose “Essentials only”, it stays that way.
Changing your choice
- Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner.
- Delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or adjust ads in My Ad Center.
For how we handle data in general, see our Privacy Policy.
